JUAN FELIPE PARDO CORREA
In November 2013 I started working in an International school. Six years experience as film studies mentor and audio-visual technician at GEMS World Academy Switzerland, have provided me with a diverse experience and genuine passion for the integration of film, music technology and digital literacy across the K-12 IB curriculum.
As a sound engineer and filmmaker, I have been able to combine my extensive experience of working in professional film and recording studios for over 10 years, with my passion for innovative learning. I have planned and delivered a wide range of workshops along side Mark Shillitoe such as digital literacy with mobile technology across the Primary years also applied in the amazon basin for students aged 10 to 20 years, Hackaton, students short films for local festivals and others in relation to units and subjects. My involvement in projects across the whole school community has enabled me to collaborate with teachers, parents, students, and support staff for events like musical festival, art festivals, drama plays, cas projects across the school, and admin events. Prove of most can be fund in the youtube channel of the school that I manage. www.youtube.com/gwaswitzerland
As DP Film studies mentor, I have enabled students to explore the narrative process and the quality of storytelling more than the technology use since the role of the cinematography artist relies in the story, empathy and teamwork whilst the technology we use everyday enhance this.
It is with great regret that I am forced to leave this beautiful school, which will unfortunately close at the end of June 2019.
