Musician, sound engineer, filmmaker and teacher. Raised in Colombia, Juan Felipe has worked several years promoting traditional cultures from his home country and creating his own artwork.
With a 10 years knowledge in independent music labels and audivisual production companies he created and work with a solid mission and vision of helping cultural heritage. 

He has specialized in the documentary genre, in video productions for TV and companies, live performances and diverse projects.
 
In 2004 he started the musical group SHISHAJA along-side with Carlos Gustavo Fernandez, a composer, friend and sound designer. They produced 2 studio albums: “Alucidez“ published in 2005 and “ENSEÑANZA“ published in 2007. They stopped production for their 3rd album but Licensing and publishing sales are available.

 Juan Felipe has worked as sound engineer in many publications for his own projects and as freelance for other companies (such as FOX, MTV, NatGeo, Aljazeera, NGOs, Bogotá Mayors office, etc). As a filmmaker in video-clips and documentaries he permitted promotion of the musical groups of the labels. ​His first enterprise “Sonidos de Colombia“ was between a record label and a visual production house, and in 2008 with new partners  help in the creation of REEF Records.

 

Today he lives in Switzerland  and works in an international school as Audio-visual technician and Film teacher (GEMS World Academy - Etoy) he guides and coaches IB learning concerning audiovisuals, multimedia and runs the TV and sound studios. He goes to Latin America when necessary or when there’s a project to jump/build in. 

Doesn’t matter if it is writing, production or postproduction his goal is to help in the preservation of ancestral values, cultural expressions and to promote the story above the means.
